The region is thought to be to be at risk of severe weather conditions on Wednesday which could include hail up to one quarter-sized size, wind speeds as high as 60 miles per hour, and a very low tornado risk forecasters have said.
A wide-spread storm is possible on Thursday, the briefing says. The heavy rain will be concentrated in the west of Arkansas and the majority of the eastern part of Arkansas as per the briefing.
Extreme thunderstorms are likely to occur in some areas that comprise Northwest Arkansas, and will increase in frequency at night, when Wednesday becomes Thursday according to the weather service.
On Thursday, the central and southern regions in the State are deemed to be more at risk of storm-related hazards, such as hail that is up at the level of one quarter and 60 to 80 miles per hour winds and low tornado risk as per the informational briefing.
The last month much of the state received more than average for rainfall and a significant portion of the state receiving up to 4 inches more than normal according to the briefing.
