BRITAIN’S Got Talent star Jonathan Goodwin is paralyzed for life and in wheelchair after a hazardous incident went wrong.
The escapologist of 42 was performing a trick which he had devised to get out of an untidy jacket while hanging upside down for 30 feet high between two suspended cars.

The timing however was not right and the vehicles were released too late and he was caught between them and caught fire, which resulted in horrendous injuries.
In a statement about the incident his actress fiancee Amanda Abbington, 48, said: “He fell 30 feet and suffered kidney damage, broken both shoulder blades, broken both legs.

She also said on the Out To Lunch podcast with Jay Rayner: “He’s paralysed currently in wheelchair. If there’s not a type of stem cell surgery or the device created by Elon Musk is working on using the tiny chip, it’s going to be that way for the rest of his life.”
Despite the life-altering injuries Amanda said he’s remained “positive and positive and robust”.
“His bravery and his strength is something I just want to emulate,” she said.
“He’s simply amazing, truly as if he’s so happy as a positive, happy human being, just pure sunshine. He’s amazing.”
She also shared that that the stuntman, who appeared in the 2019 season of BGT she received an email before the surgery , explaining that there was an 50% chance that he wouldn’t be able to make it.
He assured her that he was proud of her and thanked her for the past few weeks of his time together with her.
The couple had been acquaintances through social media for approximately 10 years and Amanda adhering to his content because her son Joe believed his actions were “amazing”.
She explained that they had a connection when she broke up with her fellow Sherlock actor Martin Freeman and separated from her other partner. This was after Jonathan had divorced from his wife.
Amanda admitted that in when they first started dating, she used to spend long hours in the phone daily before they flew together into Vienna in order to see her face-to-face in the beginning.
The actress shared that within one hour of the having a meeting Jonathan suggested that they marry and Jonathan will be married this summer.
